Selection of scholarship recipients is made in accordance with the University of the Arts scholarship policies, financial need as determined by state and federal guidelines, and in accord with the criteria and terms specified by the donor. Under federal and state laws, the University of the Arts generally cannot administer scholarships restricted by race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnic background or gender.
Many scholarships are awarded based on the student's financial need and are therefore awarded through the Financial Aid Office. However, some scholarships may be awarded with the assistance of deans, department chairs and/or faculty members using the criteria in the scholarship agreement.
