UArts Design programs challenge students to re-envision the world around them — to make it smarter, more useful, more sustainable, more beautiful. With a solid foundation in contemporary professional practices and the history of design, students are given the space to take risks to create new solutions. They collaborate, innovate and experiment, designing a mobile web application, a perfect chair, an advertising campaign or a more efficient workflow in a factory.
Focused on innovation, the University's integrated undergraduate Design Programs — Graphic Design, Industrial Design and Multimedia (Interactive Design and Motion Design) — educate students to create not just new "things," but new ways of solving problems, of approaching challenging issues confronting them and their communities, and of changing the world around them.
