After UArts : Photography
Graduates of the Photography program are working photographers, many with their own businesses shooting advertising campaigns, products, people and much more. They are international travel photographers and sought-after fashion photographers. Their fine art photography is exhibited around the world.
Our alumni include the late Irving Penn '38 (Photography), one of the most revered and influential photographers in the world, as well as recent grads like Erin Kirk BFA '06 (Photography), a former U.S. Marine combat photographer who is now the personal photographer for the Secretary of Defense.
One Photo graduate's portraits of the greats of the jazz world are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of the City of New York, and the Bill Cosby, Elton John and President William J. Clinton collections, among others.
Other Photography alums include the senior photo editor for National Geographic magazine and the co-founder of the Light Room in Philadelphia, a nonprofit photography studio and teaching facility.
