Bio: Christina May is the Founder and President of Image of The Word, LLC established in 2008. She developed her own company to serve as an Acting Coach for many aspiring artists, and to create and showcase her original artistic works as an actor.  Her work has taken her to Memphis, TN and Dallas, TX and to Israel.  May also serves as Acting Director for Inner-City Movement, a non-profit organization, where she teaches acting for at-risk, inner-city youth in the art education program. She also served as Assistant Writer, Assistant Artistic Director, Acting Coach and a Lead Actor for Inner-City Movement’s original theatrical productions, “Love’s Journey”, which premiered during the summer and fall 2010; in “The ?” which premiered December 2009; in “Isoala’s Champion”, which premiered January 2009; in “The Gift”, which premiered December 2008; and as an Acting Coach in “Death By Association”, which premiered in September 2008. In 2010 May had the privilege to teach Acting Workshops for Rebecca Davis Dance Company, Extreme Dance Academy and the Philadelphia Ballet School. May also had the privilege to participate in the 2008 PlayPenn festival at Interact Theatre Company where she did "Human Equation" with David Strathairn. She was also featured in Joey Majors’ "Be Alright" music video. May had the opportunity to apprentice with the prestigious Walnut Street Theatre as a Dorothy Haas Acting Apprentice in 2006 and recently participated in the “Go Green” tour with the Walnut Street Theatre.
