The View from Deliverance: Timothy Walsh '07
May 4—May 31 2013
Blick Art Materials
Alumni Council member Timothy Walsh BFA '07 (Graphic Design) is exhibiting six of his paintings at Blick Art Materials as part of a collaborative effort between the University of the Arts and Blick that showcases the talent of UArts students and alumni.
Walsh's paintings are about the hidden conversations that course through the undercurrents of our minds that give form to who we are as human beings, conversations happening in the background – life-talk taking place just under the hazy surface of our loud, cacophonous lives. He uses large amounts of water and makes atmospheric pathways by layering and removing paint, guiding the viewer through the hazy journey that is the human experience, revealing emotion through color, texture, light and shade.
Walsh is an art director and designer, working with not-for-profit and cultural institutions. He currently works in marketing/communications and brand development for a major national not-for-profit organization with headquarters in Manhattan. He has a very active painting studio in Media-Aston, Pa. Walsh’s work has been exhibited and published internationally.
Blick is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
