Half Baked: Unrealized Noble Failures

Sculpture Gallery

“Half Baked: Unrealized Noble Failuresis an exhibition of work by Sculpture students, faculty and staff that is decidedly unfinished or incomplete for one reason or another.

All artists have pieces that don’t turn out according to plan; things break, experiments fail, molds leak, resins won’t cure, money runs out, time runs out, artistic direction changes. New ideas creep in and suddenly a work in progress gets shelved. This show is about process, works that could be categorized as false starts, misdirections or blind alleys. Hopefully these “failures” were noble and led to better results.
