Senior Project: Purgatory
Feb 21—Feb 23 2014
Arts Bank Theater
A workshop of "The Neat Freak Cycle: Purgatory, Paranormal Investigations Into the Nature of Tragedy" by Eddie Chase '14 (Directing, Playwriting & Production); directed by Brind School faculty member Rosey Hay.
Something dark is stirring in the town of Dudley, Conn. A string of seemingly unconnected tragedies has plagued the town for decades, and everywhere tragedy has struck seems to be haunted by the spirits of the past. On a routine paranormal investigation, psychic Chris Warren discovers he may be more connected to the tragedies than he thought. As he revisits the ghosts who have haunted him throughout his life, he uncovers a dark force at work and finds himself caught in the middle of his own tragedy.
Told in the format of three ghost stories, "Purgatory" explores the fears we develop when our worlds come crashing down around us and what happens when we don’t acknowledge the painful truths that lie before us. It is Part One of "The Neat Freak Cycle," a four-part cycle of plays that will chronicle the lifelong struggle of Chris Warren and the demons he lives with every day.
