2013 William H. Ely Senior Illustration Thesis Exhibition
Mar 20—Apr 6 2013
Hamilton, Arronson and Solmssen Galleries
The William H. Ely Illustration Exhibition is the Illustration program's senior thesis show. Endowed by its namesake in 1940, Ely Excellence in Illustration awards are given to outstanding sets of student thesis work in this annual juried competition. The exhibition features art that spans virtually every area of the illustration field, including book and other publishing venues, advertising, entertainment design, comic books, video games, interactive work, store display, and product, game and package design. Each thesis project is a thoroughly researched and highly developed series of a related body of work based on the student's chosen theme and market. A unique feature of the exhibition is that all of the illustration presented is shown in the context for which it was designed.
Opening reception: March 24, 3 – 5 p.m.
