Continuing Studies Presents Performance, Exhibit by Faculty Enrichment Grant Recipients
Event features Media Arts Master Lecturer Kathy Rose and CE instructor Hunda Schuman
November 22, 2010
The University community is invited to a performance, exhibit and reception on Thursday, December 2 featuring two faculty recipients of the Continuing Studies Faculty Enrichment Grants: Media Arts Master Lecturer and Pre-College instructor Kathy Rose and CE instructor Hinda Schuman.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a special showing of Rose's "Interiosity," a 20-minute solo live performance exploring an inner world. Projected video and veils integrate with the performance to create an eerie sculpturality. The movements and the powerful swirling visuals create an environment of the interior, of thought and of meditation. The performance will take place in the Caplan Studio Theater located on the 16th floor of Terra Hall.
Rose's performance will be followed by a reception and photography exhibit featuring Schuman's work and work from students in her Travel Photography and Documentary Photography classes. Schuman was a staff photographer at The Philadelphia Inquirer and has taught photography throughout the Philadelphia area. She works with both documentary and personal photography projects, and has traveled throughout the world to various places such as Haiti, Israel, Guatemala, Morocco and elsewhere. Work will be on view on the 9th floor of Terra Hall.
Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served. For more information, please call 215-717-6006 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
