If you look up at Philadelphia’s iconic PECO building on 23rd and Market Streets between 7 p.m. and midnight on Friday nights this month, you’ll catch “Dancers,” an animated video by James Simpson BFA ’13 (Multimedia) selected as part of PECO and Breadboard’s digital art initiative, ART in the AIR.

The 21-year-old UArts junior was recently featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, saying, "The most incredible part for me was just watching something that I pieced together in my makeshift home studio be on display in such a massive way."

The goal of the project is to utilize the PECO Crown Lights system in a new and different way, and provide recognition to local artists working in a digital format. Work by three to five artists will be on view every Friday evening for one month from 7 p.m. to midnight from September through December.
