The Quay Brothers Timothy Quay BFA '69 (Illlustration) and Steven Quay BFA '69 (Film) will premiere their new film "Through the Weeping Glass: On the Consolations of Life Everlasting (Limbos & Afterbreezes in the Mütter Museum)" on Thursday, September 22 at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia's Mütter Museum

Screenings will follow at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Los Angeles.

Home to a vast and unique collection of medical oddities, Philadelphia's "disturbingly informative" Mütter Museum seems a natural setting for a film by the Quay Brothers, whose animated films The New York Times calls "richly detailed" and "known for their gloomy beauty and haunting weirdness."

"Through the Weeping Glass" was commissioned by the College and produced by UArts' Exhibitions Coordinator Ed Waisnis.

In a video interview with the museum's director, the identical twin brothers reminisce about drawing in the museum as part of their college classes.
