Philadelphia-based comedians are rising stars in the theater world

November 15, 2011

The University of the Arts alumni-founded comedy theater troupe, “The Berserker Residents,” are rising stars in the theater world.

Started by Brind School alumni Justin Bain BFA ’04 (Acting) and David Johnson BFA ’03 (Acting), along with friends Bradley Wrenn and Tim Sawicki, the Berserkers are the 2011 artists-in-residence at New York City’s Ars Nova, a hub for emerging theater artists and home to the annual five-week festival of All New Talent (ANT Fest).

They received enthusiastic reviews for their original comedy production “The Lapsburgh Layover,” with The New York Times saying, “the Philadelphia-based Berserker Residents have somehow found new fonts of absurdity.”
