The film, which premiered at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, dissects the mind and motivation of television's most notorious talk show host, who in the late '80s, tore apart the traditional format by turning the debate of current issues into a gladiator pit.

His blow-smoke-in-your-face style drew a rabid cult following, but also the title of the "Father of Trash Television."

Kramer and co-directors Daniel A. Miller and Jeremy Newberger also directed the critically acclaimed, Emmy-nominated documentaries "The New Recruits" and "The Linguists," which premiered at Sundance.
