Submissions for 'Making It' Alumni Exhibit Now Being Accepted
Juried show, coinciding with the Center for Emerging Visual Artists' Philadelphia Open Studio Tours and UArts Family & Alumni Weekend, to feature works by recent alumni from the classes of 2004 through 2014

The University of the Arts is pleased to invite submissions for "Making It: Alumni Works '04 - '14," a juried exhibition of works by recent alumni. Submissions are open to all University of the Arts alumni from the classes of 2004 through 2014, including undergraduate and graduate alumni. Only artwork created after graduation is eligible for submission.
"Making It" will be on display October 8 – 31 in the Hamilton Hall lobby, Arronson Gallery and on the first floor of Solmssen Court (320 South Broad Street), with a reception scheduled for Friday, October 17 from 4 to 6 p.m.
The show will coincide with Philadelphia Open Studio Tours, the largest tour of artist studios and creative workspaces in the region, as well as the University's Family and Alumni Weekend, which will take place October 17 – 19.
The jury for "Making It" features distinguished members of the Philadelphia arts community and notable UArts faculty, alumni and students, including alumnus Logan Maakestad BFA '14 (Craft & Material Studies); Cynthia Thompson, director of the MFA in Book Arts/Printmaking and Studio Art programs; Olivia Jia '15 (Painting); alumnus/faculty member Jordan Rockford BFA '00 (Photography); Mark Campbell BFA '74 (Sculpture), dean of the College of Art, Media & Design at the University of the Arts; and Yana Balson, assistant director of Exhibitions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The deadline for submissions is August 15. Artists selected for the exhibition will be notified the week of September 15.
