Meet the 2020 Young Writers Contest Winners

Congratulations to the winners of our 2020 Young Writers Contest. For this second installment of our annual contest, we had numerous submissions from talented young writers across many genres including poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. Mark your calendars: submission dates and details for next year will be available in January 2021.

First-place Winner: Dylan Ragas 
Poetry, "Space Shades" 

Dylan Ragas is a sophomore who currently attends school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although she loves all forms of writing, she has recently developed a particular interest in poetry. She likes to write in a humorous fashion, and has a tendency to write poems about airports and sidewalks.
 

Second-place Winner: Bella Ries
Fiction, "The Boardwalk"

Bella Ries is from Millburn, New Jersey. She is a Junior in high school and has found inspiration as a writer in many novels, films, and art of various genres.
