The Art Alliance Writers' Workshop, along with the BFA in Creative Writing, invite you to a reading and open mic at the Art Alliance Garden, September 8th, 4:45pm - 6pm. Featured readers will include Art Alliance Writers' Workshop Faculty Director Steven Kleinman and BFA alumnus Laura Miller, to be followed by open mic open to the public. Free, though advanced registration is required.

UArts is a vaccine and mask required community. Guests will be required at registration to certify they are vaccinated, and must wear masks indoors at all times.

Steven Kleinman is the author of Life Cycle of a Bear, winner of the 2019 Philip Levine Poetry Prize. His work has been anthologized in the Best American Poetry, and published in The American Poetry Review, The Iowa Review, The Gettysburg Review, and others. He is the Interim Director of the BFA in Creative Writing at the University of the Arts, the Faculty Director of the Art Alliance Writers' Workshop, and a contributing editor at The American Poetry Review. Laura Miller is a poet from Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from the University of the Arts in 2021 with a BFA in Creative Writing after completing her thesis project entitled Soft Mountain, White Light. Some of her recent publications can be found in Scoundrel Time, Atlas & Alice, and 8 Poems Magazine.
