Aaron Goldblatt '80 (Sculpture), an adjunct associate professor in the Museum Studies program at the University of the Arts, is Partner at Metcalfe Architecture & Design (MA&D), a Center City Philadelphia architecture and exhibit design practice. MA&D focuses on cultural institutions, schools, commercial and residential architecture. Aaron's focus is on museum planning and exhibition planning and design.
For more than two decades, Aaron has worked in museums and has held senior staff positions in children's and natural history museums for 15 years. He was Vice President for Exhibits at the Please Touch Museum, where he was responsible for the design, production, installation and maintenance of all exhibits. He was also a member of the senior staff at the Academy of Natural Sciences and the Wagner Free Institute of Science, both in Philadelphia.
Aaron is a long time student of play. He believes it is a characteristic we share with much of the animal world. It is the way we learn and it is a critical element in a vibrant, healthy civic life.
