Ken Yanoviak is a freelance photographer and Master Lecturer of Photography in the College of Art and Design at the University of the Arts. He received a B.A in Communications from Temple University and has over 25 years of experience shooting documentary and editorial assignments, including public relations and corporate work for local, regional, and national clients.
Ken’s approach to image making samples many of the technical conventions habiting the medium today. Whether in black and white or color, digital or film, available light or studio strobes, his method focuses on communicating an idea or observation, often with quirkiness and a sly sense of humor. His subject matter is the human condition, and he seeks out and draws attention to the often-overlooked social and cultural imagery that describes of our daily lives.
