Lindsey Martin
Senior Lecturer
MFA, Temple University
BFA, Virginia Commonwealth University

Lindsey Martin is a film and video maker who experiments with traditional narrative storytelling while approaching topics of gender identity, body image, and the microcosms of family structure. Her films look at the inner workings of families going through crisis, sometimes embracing the absurd. They generally take on a fantastical approach allowing characters experiencing trauma to explore difficult subject matter. She is interested in locations and how humans connect to the places they are from; in cyclical patterns of generations of women living in poverty in rural America. Her films have screened nationally and internationally including Slamdance Film Festival, Brooklyn International Film Festival and Philadelphia's Institute of Contemporary Art. Lindsey teaches film at the University of the Arts and is working on her first feature film, Little Wilderness.
