Lydia Ricci has a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University. She has been selected to study design at the Schule für Gestaltung in Switzerland and was awarded a grant to study printmaking in Italy through the University of Georgia. She is a founding partner of introduction, a design studio based in San Francisco and Philadelphia.
Her objective in starting the studio over 14 years ago was to continually be able to balance her passion for fine art with communication design to create work that has genuine personality and timeless appeal. She has lines of stationery and gift products for Chronicle Books and Random House. Her design work has received awards from PRINT and COMMUNICATION ARTS. Her fine art work has been shown in galleries in Italy and San Francisco. She teaches Professional Communication in Industrial Design at the University of the Arts. The class draws upon her years of business and communication design experiences and expertise.
