Saxophonist and composer Mike Cemprola has been playing, touring, writing, and teaching around the world since 2000. After earning a B.M. and M.M. from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, he has become an in-demand performer in the northeast, active in both the Philadelphia and New York creative music communities. He is a founding member of the quartet "Gunshow," whose first album is being released this year. He also is a member of Joshua Stamper's "Interstitials," Norman David and the Eleventet, The Marigold Opera, Sloburn, the Solomon Douglas Swingtet, The Ted Gottsegen Manhattan All-Stars, and many other groups. Mike has performed on flutes, clarinets, and saxophones abroad in various ensembles throughout Canada, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru. As an educator, he has conducted hundreds of clinics worldwide, in addition to regularly teaching at Camden County College and his alma mater, the University of the Arts.
